The main purpose of the dead stock report is to help identify and manage products that are not selling or have not been sold for a long time. This allows businesses to take action, such as discounting, removing, or redistributing stock, to prevent excess inventory from taking up space and tying up capital.
Here is the explanation how to check Dead Stock Inventory in DealPOS:
Step 1. Go to Inventory and click Dead Stock Tab
Step 2. Click Filter and choose the option
You can adjust the filter based on your needs, here is a small explanation for each property
Column Name | Description | Notes |
Outlet | Select specific Outlet | Leave it blank if you want to apply all Outlet |
Category | Select specific Category | Leave it blank if you want to apply all Category |
Minimum Qty (*) | Min. Qty of Deadstock Inventory | (Ex value: 50), product with last sold over 50 pcs will be previewed in Report |
Last Sold (Days) (*) | Set date as a Benchmark | (Ex value: 12 Feb 2025) product with last sold before 12 Feb 2025 will be previewed in Report |
Notes:
Table properties marked (*) need to be filled (Mandatory)
The product will appear in the Dead Stock Report preview when it meets the Minimum Quantity and Last Sold properties that are applied in filter.
