Cancellations of marketplace transactions are common, often resulting from customer input errors or order discrepancies.

Nevertheless, detailed status information is necessary when a cancellation occurs, particularly concerning product movement (i.e., whether the item has been shipped or is still in the warehouse). This information is crucial for maintaining inventory accuracy and facilitating audits.

Now, with the DealPOS system, every marketplace transaction cancellation can automatically indicate the order's shipment status. To understand in detail how you can track which orders were already shipped (Sent) and which were not yet shipped (Unsent) post-cancellation, please refer to the following article.

I. Returned Status

If you have scheduled a shipment for a marketplace order, the fulfillment status will be set to 'Sent'. Then, if the customer cancels their order, the invoice will be voided, and the fulfillment status will be updated to 'Returned'. This indicates that the products had previously been shipped (or moved out of inventory) and have now been returned.

II. Unsent Status

If you haven't scheduled a shipment for a marketplace order, the fulfillment status of the invoice will initially be set to 'Unsent'. Then, if the customer cancels their order, the invoice will be voided but the status will still remain as 'Unsent'. This status confirms that the product has not been shipped and remains in inventory.
