In Books, you can adjust the user access, what can they see, create, edit or even delete from the Books, and here is the explanation for every section and their Roles.


I. COA

This access section is explanation for COA menu.

Permission

Description

View

Allow user to view all Chart of Accounts and their respective categories without making modifications.

Create

Grants permission to add new account manually or via bulk import, helping initalize or expand the COA.

Edit

Allows editing of acccount names, categories, and other details to keep the COA updated and accurate.

Delete

Enables the removal of unused or obsolete accounts from the COA to maintain clarity and reduce clutter.

Private

Grants access to view Private Chart of Account.


II. Journal

This access section is explanation for Journal menu.

Permission

Description

View

Allows users to view all journal entries, their statuses, and linked details.

Create

Enables the creation of manual journal entries including expense reports, and income records.

Edit

Allows modifications of existing journal entries such as correcting amounts, accounts, or descriptions.

Delete

Grants permission to delete journals that are erroneous or no longer valid.


III. Report

This access section is explanation for Report menu.

Permission

Description

Ledger

Grants access to view report general ledger & multi ledger.

Finance

Grants access to view Report, Dashboard, and Cash & Bank section.


IV. Setup

This access section is explanation for Setup menu.

Permission

Description

View

Allows users to view and modify system-wide configurations for POS and accounting workflows.

Migrate

Enables data migration from legacy accounting platforms into the current system.

Tools

Grants access to administrative tools for re-generating journals or update balances, ensuring data integrity and consistency.

Recurring

Allows viewing and tracking of recurring journal entriess or schedules financial events.


V. Global

This access section is explanation for Global menu.

Permission

Description

Export

Grants access to export the data accross modules such as Journal, COA, and Reports.

Date

Allows modification of journal dates and recurring entry dates, typically for adjustment or correction purposes.

Number

Grants permission to change journal number and recurring entry numbers, especially useful for fixing numbering conflicts or gaps.

EmptyOutlet

Allows viewing of all journals and chart of accounts that are not asociated with any outlet, helping to identify orphaned or unlinked records.


VI. User

This access section is explanation for User menu.

Permission

Description

View

Allows users to view user that can access Accounting App.

Create

Allows users to invite another user.

Edit

Allows users to modify user that can access Accounting App.

Delete

Allows users to delete uesr that can access Accounting App.
