When creating a purchase transaction, users may enter a buying cost that is higher than the expected cost of the product. To help prevent incorrect purchase prices, you can set a Maximum Buying Cost for each product and restrict specific user groups from purchasing above that amount.

Once the restriction is enabled, users will not be able to continue a purchase transaction if the product's buying cost exceeds the Maximum Buying Cost that has been set.

Follow the steps below to set up and use the Maximum Buying Cost.

I. Enable Maximum Buying Cost Restriction

Before using the Maximum Buying Cost, you need to enable the restriction for the user group.

Step 1. Go to Users, then select Groups and Edit

Step 2. Enable CostMaximum Roles, then Submit

On the group permission page, find the BuyRestriction section, then enable CostMaximum.

After this permission is enabled, users in the selected group will be restricted from purchasing products above their specified Maximum Buying Cost.

II. Set Maximum Buying Cost on Product

After enabling the restriction, you can specify the Maximum Buying Cost for the product.

Step 1. Select the Variant Product that You Want to Configure.

Step 2. Edit and Click Submit

Click Edit, then enter the maximum buying cost that you want to allow for the product in the Maximum Cost field.

For example:

Maximum Cost: Rp20,000

This means users with the CostMaximum restriction cannot purchase the product with a unit cost above Rp20,000.

III. Try Maximum Buying Cost in Buy Menu

Step 1. Go to Buy and Add the Product, then Enter a Buying Cost Above the Maximum Cost

Step 2. The Transaction Cannot Be Continued

When the buying cost exceeds the specified Maximum Cost, the system will restrict the user from continuing the purchase transaction.

The buying cost must be equal to or lower than the Maximum Buying Cost before the transaction can be completed.
