In a typical retail business, when processing a sales transaction and a customer pays in cash, the cashier usually receives the money and places it in the cash drawer. This process can lead to cashier errors, as the amount of cash received may not match the amount that should be paid by the customer.
To address this issue, Glory provides self-checkout cash machine hardware that can help streamline the sales transaction process. With a cash machine, the system can automatically determine the amount the customer needs to pay and accurately calculate the total amount of cash received.
DealPOS can be connected with Glory cash machines, allowing your sales transactions to be processed faster and more accurately. To connect DealPOS with a Glory cash machine, follow the guide below.
I. Installing the ASP.NET Core
Step 1. Install the ASP.Net Core in Your computer device
Install the ASP.NET core based on Your Windows version.
For Windows x64:
Download ASP.NET Core 10.0 Runtime (v10.0.11) - Windows x64 Installer
For Windows Arm64:
Download ASP.NET Core 10.0 Runtime (v10.0.11) - Windows Arm64 Installer
Step 2. Open CMD (Command Prompt) and Execute Command
After you've done installing the ASP.NET Core, you must execute this command in the CMD:
dotnet dev-certs https --trust
II. Installing the Middleware Apps
Step 1. Download the Middleware Apps
Download the middleware apps for cash machine in the attached file.
Step 2. Extract the downloaded file, open the middleware folder, and open the configs folder
Step 3. Open AppConfig.json File and change the IP based on the cash machine and computer device
Note: Replace the current IP Address in the .json file into new IP Address based on your cash machine and computer IP Address.
Step 4. Open the Front Circle Controller (Glory Portal) in web browser using the IP Address from the Cash Machine
Step 5. Register Push event in the glory portal with IP adress assigned to computer device
Input the IP Address assigned to the computer device, Fill the port to: 55561, and check the Server box option. Click the Regist button to register the push event in the glory portal.
Step 6. Run the file start_apps.bat in the middleware folder
Note: When opening the start_apps.bat, the middleware apps will run on cmd in the desktop background. Please do not close the cmd windows.
III. Connect and Use the Cash Machine In the Sell Menu
Step 1. Go to Setup and create a payment method with using Machine as it Subtype
Step 2. Go to Sell menu, click on the More actions button, and click Cash machine
Step 3. Fill the Port / URL and click Connect now
Step 4. Create sales transactions with using Glory Cash Machine as the Payment method
There will be a pop-up showing the amount of money that needs to be inserted to proceed with the payment. Once the amount received matches the required amount, the sales transaction will be completed.
Step 5. The payment is now accepted and the Transaction is completed
Notes: If the required denominations for change are available in the Cash Machine, the change will be dispensed automatically. However, if the required denominations are unavailable, a notification will appear as shown in the screenshot above.
