Avoid Excessive Paper Usage When Printing Receipts

Configuring the web browser margins to none to prevent excess paper usage when printing receipts.

If you are using an Epson receipt printer (TM-U220, TM-T82, TM-T88V, or others), you need to set up your printer to prevent wasted paper caused by header and footer printing.

Page margins refer to the empty space between your document and the edge of the printed page. The top and bottom margins are often used for headers, footers, and page numbers. To minimize empty space on the paper in order to avoid excessive paper usage, You can set the margins as none. To set the print margins as none, you can follow the steps below.


I. Chrome Print Setup

Type Ctrl + P (Print), in the print configuration Click on panel More settings and at the margins button, select none.

II. Firefox Print Setup

Step 1. Open your Firefox browser, click More menu, then choose Print.

Step 2. On the page setup select 'Margins & Header/Footer', change margin to '0.0' and change header & footer to 'blank'.

III. Control Panel Setup

Step 1. Open your control panel, view device and printer.

Step 2. Right-click on your paired printer and select Printing Preferences.

Step 3. Select the Document Settings Tab, change Paper Conservation to Top & Bottom.
