In the DealPOS application, on the report menu, several tabs display sales reports from several versions. What we want to discuss now is that the Sales Report from the Category tab is different from the Sales Report from the Details tab. For the explanation will be informed below:

A. Invoice Discount Percentage

Pay with Invoice Discount Percentage
Report Category Sales for Invoice Discount Percentage
Report Detail for Invoice Discount Percentage

B. Invoice Discount Amount

Pay with Invoice Discount Amount
Report Category Sales for Invoice Discount Amount
Report Detail for Invoice Discount Amount

C. Product Discount Percentage

Pay with Product Discount Percentage
Report Category Sales for Product Discount Percentage
Report Detail for Product Discount Percentage

D. Product Discount Amount

Pay with Product Discount Amount
Report Category Sales for Product Discount Amount
Report Detail for Product Discount Amount

So "Why Total Sales Amount in Category Sales is different from Report Detail?"
It will only happen when we use the B. Invoice Discount Amount.

The answer is Report Category Sales can't count which Product Category is discounted if there are 2 Product Categories (or more) in one invoice with Discounted Amount. The system can't count which Product Category is discounted.
