In the DealPOS application, specifically in the Reports menu, there are various Sales Reports menu presented differently between their sub-sections, such as Products, Category, Detail, etc.
This article will specifically discuss the comparison between Report Category and Report Detail. Because some users sometimes make comparisons and find differences between the two reports, this article will explain why such differences could happen.

So "Why Total Sales Amount in Category Sales is different from Report Detail?"
It will only happen when we use the B. Invoice Discount Amount.
The answer is Report Category Sales can't count which Product Category is discounted if there are 2 Product Categories (or more) in one invoice with Discounted Amount. The system can't count which Product Category is discounted.
