In the Books app, you can create manual journals directly from the interface if you only need to record a few transactions. This option works best when the entries are limited or added occasionally. You can follow the step-by-step guide here to create them manually. But if you need to add many journals at once, doing it manually can be time-consuming. In that case, this article will show you how to create manual journals in bulk to make the process faster and easier.

Step 1. Go to Manual Journal, click Import Button

Step 2. Download template and open the CSV files

Step 3. Delete the sample row in the template and fill it with your actual journal data

For example, I want to record a purchase of office equipment and other general expenses.

Step 4. Save the file and import it into the Books app

Step 5. File selected, then click Next

Step 6. Review the import preview, then click Next.

Import Summary Previewed, then click Next.
