When you want to check the remaining stock of the products you own, you can go to the Inventory menu, specifically in the Inventory Valuation tab. In this Inventory Valuation tab, you can view data regarding the stock of products you currently have.
In the Inventory Valuation tab, you can export data into csv/xlsx file formats. When exporting data, you have several options to choose from based on your needs. One of these options is Export By Outlet.
When you choose the Export by Outlet option you can get the csv file from the Inventory data includes the total quantity of products from all outlets. To do the export by outlet and see how the Export Inventory by Outlet works you can read the step below:
I. How To Export
Step 1. Go to Inventory, choose Valuation tab, and Click Export
Step 2. Choose the Export by Outlet Column and click Export
Step 3. The csv file will be saved
The csv file contains data for the Outlet, ProductCode, Product, VariantCode, Variant, Quantity (counted based on the Outlet), UnitCost, and UnitPrice
II. Why the Quantity From Inventory Valuation Web Page is Different With the Exported Data?
Sometimes you might get a mismatch result from the qty column when you try to compare the data between Exported result and the web page view. This might happen if you're using "Quantity From - To" filter on the Inventory Valuation Tab (by default, the inventory valuation is using 1 qty in the "Quantity From - To" filter)
When you're using this filter, the data that will be exported by using the Export By Outlet will also filtered.
For example: if you're trying to filter the Quantity from 1000 to 2000, the data in the Inventory Valuation web page will display all the products whose total stock from all outlets is in the range of 1000 to 2000
If you're trying to export the data by using the Export by outlet, the exported file will also be filtered. So it will show you the total product stock from each outlets which is in the range of 1000 to 2000. In this case, if the product quantity at each outlet does not meet the filter criteria, the product data will not be exported.
The product qty from each outlet is only 500. When we try to export it by using the Export by outlet:
The exported file will be empty. Because the product qty doesn't meet the criteria from the "Quantity From - To" filter (the filter is using from 1000 to 2000)
