Differences Functional Between Legacy and Modern Systems in Omni Apps

If a pop-up like the one shown below appears when logging in to Omnichannel, it is caused by an update related to Modern Mode.

Legacy Mode

In Legacy Mode, authentication and role assignments are inherited from POS.

Modern Mode

In the Modern Mode, authentication and role assignments are managed directly from omni.dealpos.app.

This allows administrators to control user access and permissions within Omni itself, without depending on POS settings.

Currently, all users are still using Legacy Mode, but we are transitioning customers to Modern Mode so that user management can be handled entirely from Omni.

You have to switch to Modern Mode after you have invited or migrated users in Omni.
