Some stores have more than 1 employee. Sometimes, each employee has a different job description. DealPOS provides a "Groups" feature to differentiate employees based on position. So, you can manage employee access based on their position.
This article will explain how to set access permission to "Groups" and set outlet access for groups (if you have more than 1 outlet).
I. Set Roles / Permission
Step 1. Go to Users, then Click Groups Tab
Step 2. Choose Any Group
Choose the group that you want to manage the roles.
Step 3. Set Group Roles, then Click Submit
Manage the roles in the permission tab.
You can check the explanation of each existing role in the following article User Roles Description.
II. Set Outlet Access
For the record, User Access and Group Access have different Outlet Permissions. If one group has many users and those users can only access one outlet, then you can directly manage the group permission to access the selected outlet. But if one group has many users in different outlets, then you can set each user for which outlet they can access.
After you set group roles, you can also limit the access of each group to your outlets. The steps are as follows.
Step 1. Go to Users, then Click Groups Tab
Step 2. Choose Any Group
Choose the group that you want to manage the outlet access.
Step 3. Manage Outlet Access, then Click Submit
Open the outlet tab, then set the outlet access.
Table Description
Permission Level | Description |
No Access | The Group does not have access to the outlet |
Peek | The group can check inventory at the outlet |
Read | The group can check inventory + orders at the outlet |
Write | The group can create a new order at the outlet |
