On DealPOS, you can delete products or variants data in the Products menu if you don't want to sell the products or variants anymore. But, if your products or variants is ever having a transaction before, you cannot delete the product or variant's data.
To make the products or variants not available to be sold anymore, instead of deleting the products or variant data, you can try to Discontinue the product or variants. Discontinued product or variant means that your products or variants are not available for sale anymore. To discontinue products or variants, you can follow the steps below.
I. Discontinue Product
Step 1. Go to Product then tick on Any Product
Step 2. Click Discontinue
Click Discontinued to "Yes".
Step 3. Try to Discontinue the Product by CSV File
If you have multiple products that you want to discontinue at once, you can try to discontinue the products by using import via CSV file. First, you have to export the product, fill in the Discontinued column on exported CSV file to "Yes", then you can import the product CSV.
Notes :
After marking '"Yes" on discontinue column, the products will not appear on the Product Menu.
II. Discontinue Variant
Step 1. Go to Products, Choose Tab Variant, then Click Any Variant
Step 2. Click Edit, then Discontinue Variant
Set Discontinued to "Yes".
Step 3. Try to Discontinue the Variant by CSV File
If you have multiple variants that you want to discontinue at once, you can try to discontinue the variants by using import via CSV file. First, you have to export the product, fill the VariantDiscontinued column on exported CSV file to "Yes", then you can import the product CSV.
III. View Discontinued Products / Variant
Click a filter on the Products Menu, then set "Yes" on Product/Variant Discontinued :
