On DealPOS, you can delete products or variants data in the Products menu if you don't want to sell the products or variants anymore. But, if your products or variants is ever having a transaction before, you cannot delete the product or variant's data.
To make the products or variants not available to be sold anymore, instead of deleting the products or variant data, you can try to Discontinue the product or variants. Discontinued product or variant means that your products or variants are not available for sale anymore. To discontinue products or variants, you can follow the steps below.
I. Discontinue Product directly (via UI)
Step 1. Go to Product then tick on Any Product
Click Discontinue
Step 2. Click OK
Product has been discontinued.
II. Discontinue Product by bulk (via CSV)
If you have multiple products that you want to discontinue at once, you can try to discontinue the products by using import via CSV file.
Step 1. Export data from Product menu
Step 2. Edit the exported file and Import back to POS
Fill in the Discontinued column on exported CSV file to "Yes", then you can import the product CSV.
Step 3. Back to Product menu, click Import button
Step 4. Upload the CSV file
Step 5. Crosscheck the Preview Page, then click Next
File uploaded successfully.
III. Discontinue Variant directly (via UI)
Step 1. Go to Products, Choose Tab Variant, then Click Any Variant
Step 2. Click Edit, then Discontinue Variant
Set Discontinued to "Yes".
Variant has been discontinued.
IV. Discontinue Variant by bulk (via CSV)
If you have multiple variants that you want to discontinue at once, you can try to discontinue the variants by using import via CSV file.
Step 1. Export data from Product menu
First, you have to export the product.
Step 2. Edit the exported file and Import back to POS
Fill in the DiscontinuedVariant column on exported CSV file to "Yes", then you can import the product CSV.
Step 3. Back to Product menu, click Import button
Step 4. Upload the CSV file
Step 5. Crosscheck the Preview Page, then click Next
File uploaded successfully.
