As a business owner, to provide direct sales commissions for the cashier, sometimes we allow the cashier to change the selling price of the product directly during the transaction process to be higher than the original selling price, or allow the cashier to sell the product below the original selling price for clearance promotions.
However, we also need to restrict the cashier from changing the selling price of the product to be below the selling price or the cost price. For this, we can set the minimum selling price configuration in the Sell menu.
This configuration is important for avoiding sales transactions using product prices that are less than Unit Price/Unit Cost. There are various procedures and explanations that will be covered in this article to complete this setup. For more information, see the following steps.
Tutorial Video: The Minimum Sell Price
I. Enable Configurations
Step 1. Navigate to Settings Menu
Click on the selected section
Click the Unit Price and then click Save
Price Minimum Types Configuration
Unit Price = can't sell below the Unit Price
If you select this configuration. There will be a warning pop-up when user editing the price below the Unit Price, therefore user can't edit and sell the product price below the Unit Price.
Unit Cost = can't sell below the Unit Cost
If you select this configuration. There will be a warning pop-up when user editing the price below the Unit Cost. This is useful to reduce the risk of wrong input where user sell the product price between the cost or COGS.
Minimum Price = can't sell below the Minimum Price
To use this configuration, you must first set a minimum price for the product variant. Once done, enabling this configuration will allow user to sell the product at a specific minimum price that has been set.
Note:
This is the section to input Minimum Price
II. User Access Configurations
