Generate coupon for giving access to return

A coupon is a ticket or document with a random code that can be redeemed by a customer for a financial discount or return when purchasing a product. Coupons are now used in-store as part of sales promotions.

Suppose your outlet does not allow cashier staff to use sales return access. In this case, authorization is needed so that your cashier staff can access it if any of your customers want sales returns.

The steps below explain how to create a coupon promotion for sales returns.


I. Generate Coupon (Sales Return Authorization)

Step 1. Go to Promotion (Coupon), then Click Add

Step 2. Choose Generated Type

When you want to create a new coupon, you have two ways to generate the code from the coupon itself, these are:

  • Manual Typed: You manually input the coupon code that you want to generate

  • Automatic Typed: You only need to input the number of coupon codes you want to create and the total digit of the coupon code

    Note:
    For now, on the Promotion Coupon, we have provided a Start Date - Expired Date which functions to set the Coupon to be active at the time you want to specify

Step 3. Select Coupon Type

Select coupon type as "Return - Authorization Code to enable Sales Return".

Step 4. Setting Coupon Requirements

You can set the Coupon Requirements. You can make the coupon only available for some Outlets and only for specified customer

Step 5. Set Coupon Usage Limit, Started Date, Expired Date, and Description, then Submit

Step 6. Coupon was Created

II. Use Coupon to Return Sales Transaction

Before we create a return sales transaction using a coupon, make sure the user that we used to log in doesn't have Return roles on the user's Group

Step 1. Go to Sell, Click More actions, then Click Coupon Icon

Step 2. Input Coupon Code

Step 3. Apply the Coupon then Click Return Icon

For the temporary time until the return invoice is created, the user now has a role to be able to return the customer invoice, click the return button, and input the invoice number that will be returned.

Step 4. Process the Return Transaction

Click pay to return the customer invoice.
