How to activate & explain pricebook price configuration

The Pricebook feature allows users to have special selling prices for products without changing the general price of the product.

Usage scenarios for Pricebook :

  • Wholesale Price
    For example, the price of product A is Rp. 120,000, but when buying 10, the price will be cheaper at Rp. 100,000 per item.

  • Member Price
    For example, the price of product B is Rp. 250,000, but when purchased as a member, the price will be cheaper at Rp. 200,000 per item.

This article will explain how to activate the pricebook and how to configure the pricebook settings.


I. Enable Pricebook

Step 1. Go to Setup, Click More Menu, then Select Module

Step 2. Go to Sell Tab, Enable Pricebook, then Click Save

Click the Sell tab on the configuration module and scroll down to Pricebook, then set the pricebook to Yes and click the save button.

Step 3. Show Pricebook Name to Item Description (Optional)

You can also show the pricebook in the product description when selling to show the price book applied to that product.

Enable copy pricebook name to item description

Go to the Sell menu and make a transaction using products that have been assigned to the price book.

Check Pricebook on Item Description (Shopping Cart)

The Receipt from that transaction will show the price book applied to the product description.

Notes :

Ensure that you enable the note visible on the invoice printing configuration.


II. Assign Pricebook Price Manually on Sell

Users can also manually assign pricebook prices during sales. Check the steps below to learn how to activate the manual pricebook selection during sales and how to use it.

Step 1. Go to Users, Select Groups Tab, then Choose Group

Open User Group

Step 2. Enable Pricebook Selector Role, then Click Submit

Step 3. Go to Sell, Add Item to Cart, then Click Item

Ensure that you add the item that is assigned with the pricebook price.

Step 4. Go to Discount Tab, then Choose Pricebook

Step 5. Check Item Price on Shopping Cart

Notes :

Ignore this feature if you feel that cashiers do not need to manually assign pricebook prices.
