Masking certain characters from a sensitive field

A sensitive field is a data element that contains sensitive or confidential information. In DealPOS, we can create two types of sensitive fields product-sensitive fields and contact-sensitive fields. To mask certain characters in a sensitive field, you can refer to the following article:


I. Setup Configuration for Visible Masking Settings

Step 1. Go to Setup, click on More Menu, and select Sensitive Field Configuration

Step 2. Go to Masking, then set the Max Visible Prefix and Max Visible Suffix

Configure how many characters at the beginning and end of the sensitive field will remain visible.

Notes:

  • Max Visible Prefix: The number of characters you want to display at the beginning.

  • Max Visible Suffix: The number of characters you want to display at the end.


II. Create Contact

Step 1. Go to Contact Customer, then click Add

Create New Contact

Step 2. Input Email and Mobile Phone

Enter the Email and Mobile Phone (phone number), and don't forget to click Save.

Step 3. Recheck the Contact

You can check the prefix and suffix of the email and phone number for that contact again.
