A sensitive field is a data element that contains sensitive or confidential information. In DealPOS, we can create two types of sensitive fields, which are: product sensitive fields and contact sensitive fields. To mask certain characters in a sensitive field, please refer to the following article:
I. Configuration for Sensitive Field
Step 1. Navigate to Settings Menu
Step 2. Set the Objects, Visible Prefix and Visible Suffix
In the Objects column you can select which data you want to hide using sensitive field.
Notes:
Max Visible Prefix: number of characters in the beginning that remain visible
Max Visible Suffix: number of characters in the end that remain visible
II. Create Contact
Step 1. Add a New Contact
Step 2. Input Email and Mobile Phone
Once you are done click the Save button
III. Configure Access
Step 1. Navigate to Users Menu
Step 2. Set Access for Users Groups
Once you are done click Submit button
Note:
Without SensitiveField access user cannot view selected data that has been masked
Step 3. Navigate to Contacts Menu
Search the contact. As you can see the mobile phone and email data have been masked.
