In DealPOS, there's a Manufacture menu where you can input production components along with their respective costs to produce a finished product. Sometimes, the total cost of raw materials used in production may not match the expected cost of the final product — for example, when raw material prices increase unexpectedly.
To handle this scenario, DealPOS provides a configuration setting that allows you to either permit or restrict the submission of a job order if there’s a mismatch between the total input cost and the output (product) cost. This gives you better control over cost accuracy and helps maintain consistency in your manufacturing records.
I. How to Enable or Disable the Configuration
Step 1. Go to Setup Menu, Then Click on More Menu and Select AddOns
Step 2. Select Manufacture
By default, Manufacture Behavior is set to "No", so any cost mismatch in the Manufacture menu won’t be allowed. But if you want to allow it — for example, when raw material costs fluctuate — just switch it to "Yes".
II. Difference Between Enabled and Disabled
A. Enabled Scenario
When enabled, the system will allow you to submit a job order even if there is a difference between the input cost and the output cost.
B. Disabled Scenario
When disabled, the system will not allow you to create a manufacture job if there is a difference between the input cost and the output cost.
