In DealPOS, you can use Composite product type if your business offers bundled products consisting of multiple products with specific quantities. Composite products do not have their own stock. Instead, their availability is calculated based on the stock levels of each product used as its components.
If one of the component products does not have sufficient stock to create a composite product, the composite product cannot be sold. To view the available quantity of composite products along with the stock levels of each component product, you can access the Composite Inventory menu.
For more information about the Composite Inventory menu, please follow the steps below.
I. Composite Inventory From Products Menu
Step 1. Go to Products menu and select the Composite Product Variant
As shown in the Products menu, Composite products do not have their own stock quantities. Regardless of the quantity of the component products, the On Hand quantity for the Composite product will always be displayed as zero (0).
Step 2. Select the Composite Inventory Tab and Check the Composite Inventory For the Composite Product availability
Step 3. Click the expand button in the Composite Inventory row to view the detailed quantities of each component product
As shown in the image above, the Available column indicates that the composite product has a stock availability of 9 packages. This means that, based on the available stock of all component products, there are only enough components to create 9 units of the composite product.
Inventory Status Details:
On Hand: The total stock quantity before deducting the allocated quantity.
Allocated: The allocated quantity from unsent sales transactions
Calculated: Showing maximum composite product that can be sold.
Direct Allocated: The allocated quantity from unsent sales transactions of the composite product itself.
Indirect Allocated: The allocated quantity from unsent sales transactions of component products related to the composite product.
Available: The remaining stock quantity after deducting the allocated quantity.
II. Composite Inventory From Inventory Menu
Step 1. Go to the Inventory menu then click the Composite tab
Step 2. Click the Expand button in one of the Composite product row to view the detailed quantities of each component product
As shown in the image above, in the Composite Inventory tab in the Inventory menu, the Available column indicates that the composite product has a stock availability of 9 packages.
