Imagine a cashier makes a mistake when adding an item to a customer’s order. That item needs to be removed from the cart, but the cashier doesn’t have permission to delete items.
Previously in DealPOS, cashiers could work around this by refreshing the tab or opening a new one. The system would refresh the page and reset the items that had already been input. Now this method is no longer allowed. When the cashier refreshes, the system will simply display the ongoing transaction and still block item deletion.
To solve this, we introduced a new configuration with a promotion coupon called Authorize - Delete Item. This coupon grants the cashier temporary access to delete items from the cart during the ongoing transaction. Once the transaction is completed, the cashier will automatically lose this access. Here is how:
I. Create The Delete Item Coupon
Step 1. Go to Promotion Menu, Select Promotion Coupon, Then Add
Step 2. On Type Option, Select Authorize - Delete Item, Then Setting and Save
Step 3. You Have Create a Delete Item Coupon
Note:
This coupon allows your cashier to delete wrong items in the cart. The access remains until the transaction is finished.
II. How to Use The Coupon
Step 1. Copy The Coupon Code
Step 2. On Sell Menu, Open More Action and Select Coupon
Step 3. Input The Coupon code
Paste or type the coupon code on Coupon column, then OK.
Trashbin logo will show up and your cashier can delete the wrong item.
And the cashier can delete the wrong items.
Once the transaction is complete, the coupon will no longer can be use, and you should generate another coupon.
Note:
The coupon can be used to delete items once or multiple times, depending on the usage setting you choose when creating it.
III. Next Transaction or New Sale
Once the transaction is completed and you start a new customer order, the Sell menu resets and the cashier can no longer delete items in the cart.
