Sometimes a product variant needs to stand on its own, whether for separate pricing, inventory tracking, or reporting purposes. Instead of creating a new product from scratch, you can simply detach the variant and convert it into an independent product.
This feature gives you more flexibility in organizing your product catalog, especially when certain variants grow into best-sellers or require different management strategies.
Follow the steps below to detach a variant into a new product quickly and efficiently.
Step 1. Go to Products, then select the variant that you want to detach.
Step 2: Click the Detach to New Product button.
Step 3: Check the product that has been detached.
The product has been successfully detached and is now available as a new product.
