[Tutorial Video] Create Product With Serial Number (Serialized Product Type)
Serialized products allow businesses to track each item using a unique serial number. This is commonly required for products such as mobile phones, cameras, laptops, speakers, and other electronics that need individual item identification.
With DealPOS, you can create products with serial number and assign a unique serial number to every unit in stock. This helps improve inventory accuracy, simplifies warranty claims, and makes it easier to trace the history of each product.
Follow the steps below to create and manage serialized products in DealPOS.
I. Create Serialized Product
Step 1. Go to Products then click Add
Step 2. Fill out the form, select Serialized Type, then click Submit
II. Input Serialized Product Inventory Manually
Currently, there are two ways to add stock for serialized products: through the Buy menu or the Adjustment menu.
The Buy menu is recommended when adding stock from purchase transactions, while the Adjustment menu is more suitable for entering initial inventory balances or performing stock adjustments and stock-taking activities.

III. Check and Update the Serial Number
Step 1. Go to Product then select tab Variant
Step 2. Search Serialized Product/Variant then click for the detail
Step 3. Select Serials tab, change the Serial Number, and click Submit
