Have you ever faced a situation where your cashier needed to input previous invoices, but couldn’t because backdate access was restricted to prevent fraud? This often happens when there’s a delay in transaction entry or a system issue that forces the cashier to record sales from previous days.

To handle cases like this safely, we added a configuration that lets you grant limited backdate access. You can decide how many days back your cashier can create invoices, reducing risk while keeping operations flexible. Here is how:

I. How to Configure

Step 1. Go To Users Menu, Then Groups, Click on The Groups Name

group list

Step 2. Click on Edit

edit group

Step 3. Go to Restriction, Then Input the Days Range, Then Submit

edit group

Notes:

If you set the days range to 2, they can only backdate to yesterday. This is because the current day is already counted as 1, so setting 2 limits the backdate range to today and yesterday.

II. How it Works

Here is the difference in the "Date" role when you use the days range and when you don’t.

Without input days restriction

sell

With days input restriction (2 Days)

sell

Notes:

To get this configuration to work, you need to give "Date" access to the users.
