Transaction Editing Limitation When Coupon Is Applied

Managing transaction edits can be complicated once a discount is in the mix. This article explores the specific limitations that arise when a coupon is applied to an order. This limitation is applied to keep the calculation of the total amount and discount clear and accurate.


I. Make Transactions in Sell Menu

Step 1. Navigate to sell menu

After applying the coupon the discount will be shown and applied to the selected product

Step 3. Edit the Transasction

Now if we try to edit the transaction for example we change the product's quantity from 3 to 2

There will be a pop-up notification that says the shopping cart is locked, so the transaction cannot be edited. This is to ensure that the transaction amount and discount are clear and consistent.

II. Remove Promotion Coupon

Therefore if you want to edit the transaction, you have to remove the coupon first. Please follow the instructions below to remove the coupon.

Step 1. Click More Actions

Step 3. Coupon has been removed

Once the coupon is removed the associated discount will also be cleared

Step 4. Edit the Transaction and Re-apply the Coupon

Change the quantity to 2 and then re-apply the coupon.

Step 5. Pay to Complete the Transaction
