On DealPOS, you can continue making sales transactions even when your internet connection is offline. Once you access the Sell menu, DealPOS will remain fully functional. Your browser automatically stores the cache, allowing you to keep processing sales without interruption. All orders created in offline mode are securely saved locally in your browser and will be automatically synced to the system once you’re back online.
Important Note: Offline mode only supports Google Chrome or Safari browser
I. Working Status - Online and Offline Mode
Online mode is when your DealPOS system is directly connected to the server through an internet connection. In this mode, orders, products, and configuration data are uploaded and downloaded in real time.
Offline mode is when your DealPOS system is not connected to the server due to a lack of internet connection. In this mode, you can still process transactions as long as the product data has been synced from DealPOS to your local storage beforehand. All transactions made in Offline mode are not immediately saved to the server but are temporarily stored in your browser cache. This feature is also known as Offline Order.
II. Sync Product For Offline Transactions
Step 1. Click Online
Step 2. On Offline Order Configuration, Click Products
Step 3. Click Sync Now
Click Sync Now to save product data to your browser’s local cache storage. Once downloaded, the product data will be automatically stored in your browser cache.
III. Try to Make Offline Transactions
Step 1. Change Mode to Offline
Click on Online, then click Offline, Then OK.
Step 2. Sell Page is Offline Already, Try to Make an Offline Transactions
Offline transaction is success.
IV. Upload Offline Transactions
Step 1. Switch From Offline to Online, then Refresh Page
Step 2. Offline Dialog Will Appear
Step 3. Click Upload
Offline order has been uploaded successfully.
Notes:
If you are back online (connected to the internet), a dialog like the one above will automatically appear to notify you if there are Offline Orders.
Step 4. Recheck Offline Orders Which was Uploaded
Open the Orders menu to check your uploaded offline transactions.
