When there's a return transaction from your customer, you might face a situation where the customers want to exchange the returned product for another one but your products that are used as a substitute for the returned products are out of stock. To avoid this situation, you can set the returned transactions amount to be stored as a store credit. So your customer can make a deposit amount based on the returned product's amount as store credit and can make an exchange to other products using the stored credit amount.
